ACT Therapy
About
The Values-Led Mind Reset
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you respond differently to difficult thoughts and feelings so they have less power over your life. Instead of trying to fight or avoid inner experiences, ACT teaches skills in acceptance, mindfulness and values-led action. The aim is to build psychological flexibility so you can move towards a richer, more meaningful life.

What is the treatment?
In ACT sessions, you’ll work one-to-one with a qualified therapist. Sessions involve exploring your current challenges, learning mindfulness and acceptance techniques, and clarifying your core values. You’ll practise new ways of relating to thoughts and feelings, and develop practical actions aligned with what truly matters to you. Therapy is collaborative and paced to suit your needs.
Combinations and add-ons
ACT Therapy can be combined with naturopathic support, lifestyle change programmes, or other therapies to support mental health alongside physical wellbeing.
Who's it for?
ACT is suitable for people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, overwhelm, chronic pain, unhelpful habits or feeling stuck in life. It can help whenever you’re battling with your own mind and want a kinder, more effective way forward.
Treatment plan
Some clients find 6–10 sessions helpful for a specific issue, while others choose longer-term support. You can start with a single session to experience the approach, or commit to a 10-session programme for deeper, structured work. Your therapist will review progress regularly and adapt the plan as your needs evolve.
